Service Description
Shielded Metal Arc Welding Through Participation in this class students will advance their understanding of the Shield Metal Arc Welding Process. You will learn about electrode classifications for Carbon Steel Electrodes, Stainless Steel Electrodes and other non- typical electrodes. The Student will learn the techniques to become proficient to weld in the following welding position: Flat (1G) Horizontal (2G) Vertical (3G) Overhead (4G) Skills and Techniques will be developed through practice time in the Welding Lab. Student will learn the requirements used to select the correct electrode for the job, process for choosing the correct settings when welding, and as always, safety will be affirmed. Prerequisite for the class is: Intro to Welding.
